What can you do?<br /><br />@ Jim, I understand completely, the whole zombie thing isn't for everyone. It was just a quirky idea that got stuck in my head so I decided to go for it. As far as looking for a new job goes, I've been applying for Federal positions to offer a bit more stability without the constant drain that this position has placed on myself and my family. Those spots aren't exactly easy to get, so I'm not holding my breath. <br /><br />@ Kristyn, thanks for the compliment on my Helium writing. I've taken this break as an opportunity to crank up my non-fiction writing as well as getting some work done in the garden. My wife and I also write a green living blog, though it is relatively new. I just wish I'd had the sense to do the same as you when I was your age. The older you get the harder it is to bounce back. The next thing would be to see if you can find a new job that doesn't demand such commitment from you.
